/' About us/
The purpose behind Solid Brand Apparel is found directly in the definition. Living a life of quality and substance, being a person of good character: one who is reliable and not easily broken. That is what we stand and strive for daily. Doing good and being better.
This movement was originally planted during the time I worked with the youth at Challengers Boys & Girls Club, located in the heart of Los Angeles. I witnessed many of the kids come hungry without any breakfast or lunch for the day. The amount of kids who often came to this Boys & Girls Club without, was too much for me to sit back and be ok with.
"Nutrition affects the way a child's brain learns & develops. Poor nutrition can actually interfere with brain development, causing learning disabilities or difficulties. Improper nutrition affects the way a child's brain processes, stores, analyzes & receives information. This can make it difficult for a child to concentrate and focus on reading, spelling, writing & math problems."
My prayer is that we forget about ourselves for a moment and take our time and the resources God has blessed us with to reach out to our youth who desperately need us. If we can be the reason a child doesn't have to worry about how they're going to eat, imagine what greater things they can fix their minds to do and one day become.
As adults, it is our responsibility to take care of our youth, for our children are our future! That is why with every purchase of Solid Brand Apparel, a percentage of our sales goes directly towards community outreach by providing free meals, clothes, scholarships for under privileged youth in Los Angeles.
We are more than material, we are a movement.
Stay Solid,
